Vivienne Westwood’s ‘Get a Life’ Palladium Jewelry Collection for Spring/Summer 2011
Vivienne Westwood’s quirky and rebellious sense of style transcends beyond her clothes to her jewelry as well, which can be clearly seen from her latest nature-inspired ‘Get a Life’ Palladium Jewelry collection for spring/ summer 2011.
True to the brand image, the ‘Get a Life’ spring/ summer 2011 jewelry collection is dramatic, yet classy. The Vivienne Westwood brand label is used extensively as a design element in the couture collection, which consists of earrings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets, cuffs, rings and key holders.
The new line also includes a beautiful tiara made of palladium oak leaves and accompanying acorn-shaped earrings.
Each unconventional piece reflects Westwood’s chic individuality. The eye-popping designs are such that they can be worn on any occasion and can be used to accessorize almost any kind of outfit.
Westwood’s trademark punk style is reflected specifically in pieces like the skull and safety pin earrings.
‘Mad Men’ leading actress, Christina Hendricks, is the face of the new collection. The gorgeous redhead looks stunning in the campaign wearing dark low cut dresses and adorning the classy jewelry. Describing the versatile collection the excited Hendricks said,
“Vivienne Westwood has always been one of my favorite designers, so it was a great honor for me to be asked to represent the ‘Get a Life’ Palladium Jewelry Collection. I admire that Vivienne uses her designs to inspire change and the pieces are just so wonderful. I love that there are dramatic pieces such as the crown and the heart necklace as well as more simple pieces such as the acorn earrings. As Palladium is a naturally white metal, the pieces really sparkle under the lights and I cannot wait to wear them on the red carpet!”
The ‘Get a Life’ Palladium Jewelry Collection is now available in Vivienne Westwood’s designer boutiques in London and Los Angeles. The price range is between $445 and $900, so these pieces aren’t exactly light on the pocket.
